College of Veterinary Medicine Ranch

The OSU College of Veterinary Medicine Ranch is an off-site extension of the OSU Veterinary Medical Hospital specializing in equine and bovine breeding and reproduction services. This ranch is equipped to handle all aspects of large animal reproduction, both routine breeding work and more advanced techniques.

The College of Veterinary Medicine Ranch has a three fold mission:

To provide a teaching environment for veterinary students and continuing education for practitioners, advancing both future veterinarians and today's professionals.
To provide referring veterinarians and the regional equine industry high quality, state-of-the-art clinical services in the area of equine theriogenology.
To be a center for clinically applied research in the field of large animal theriogenology with emphasis on infertility and assisted reproductive technologies involving both the mare and stallion.

Stallion Services

Male reproductive physiology has been and continues to be a strength at Oklahoma State University. We have the ability to perform stallion breeding soundess examinations, more in depth research into the determinants of stallion reproductive efficiency and the following services:
- Semen collection, evaluation, and shipment
- Cooled semen transport and evaluation of quality for transport suitability
- Breeding Soundness Evaluation
- Novice Stallion Training for Semen Collection
- Semen Processing including Centrifugation and EquiPure
- Semen Cyropreservation
