Food Animal Veterinary Internship
Friday, July 22, 2022
The Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to announce an advanced training opportunity in food animal medicine and surgery. The position is a 1-year internship to start this summer. Candidates must be a graduated veterinarian interested in advanced training in food animal practice.
The OSU Food Animal Service enjoys a very high caseload, including beef cattle, bucking stock, small ruminants, swine, camels and the occasional reindeer, elk or bison. We have excellent handling facilities, including 3 hydraulic chutes.
Strengths of our program include a large and diverse caseload offering primary care for our local clientele as well as referred tertiary care. Interns gain experience not just in food animal medicine, but also in surgery, theriogenology and production medicine. Consistent mentorship is provided by four food animal faculty members.
